Meet the Teachers
We welcome children 0 months through 3 years into our nursery. Our Sunday School hour is staffed by regular, volunteer teachers. Our Worship hour is lead by experienced, rotating volunteers.
We currently have an infant's room for children 0-23 months. A member of our leadership team, Laurel Pence, supervises this room during the Sunday School hour. She also organizes volunteers for and regularly teaches in the 2s-3s classroom for the Worship hour. Laurel is married to Jim Pence, one of our member artists/ministers. She is an RN and has worked with children of all ages for years. She has a true servant's heart for these little ones and an intuitive sense of their needs. Parents and children alike are blessed to be served by Laurel.
Judy Master is the talented woman teaching our 2s-3s Sunday School class. Judy is a mother of 4 with experience teaching and a degree in art. She brings incredible enthusiasm and creativity to her classes. Her daughter assists her in planning and teaching.
Here's Judy in her own words: "We are especially excited about the 2's and 3's class. This age child is on the verge of such great accomplishments from potty training to understanding the elementary things of God! These sweet people are ready for comforting routines and opportunities to practice politeness, share with others, and hear true stories from the Bible that will set the stage for their future view of a loving God."
