Craig was raised in suburban Chicago, and moved with his family to Phoenix, Arizona where he attended high school and college. He graduated from the University of Arizona (Tucson, Arizona) with a degree in Business Administration (marketing) and from Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff, Arizona) with a MBA. Craig worked for 10 years in the Human Resources field working in various roles at Northern Arizona University, and as the Human Resources Director of Coconino Community College in Flagstaff, Arizona. During his years in Flagstaff, Craig and Tammy attended Flagstaff Evangelical Free Church (Now called North Point Fellowship) where Craig served as an elder for six years.

Craig and his wife Tammy moved to Dallas in 2002 to begin the Master’s of Theology program at Dallas Theological Seminary. Craig graduated with honors in May 2006, and received the J. Ellwood Evans award in Pastoral Ministries and the Lewis Sperry Chafer award. He was selected by the seminary faculty as one of four senior preachers in his final year. After graduation Craig joined Trinity Fellowship Church as the Church Planting Pastor where he worked for a year while Lake Cities Community Church was being prayed over and planned. LCCC began in April 2007 and targets Rowlett, Rockwall, Garland and other communities around the Lake Ray Hubbard area. He and Tammy live in Garland with their four children, Trevor, Hayden, Taylor and Hudson.

Regarding church governance, we are an elder-led congregation. Currently, our leadership and accountability are formed in an elder board made up of three current elders from our mother church, Trinity Fellowship Church along with our pastor and our first locally appointed elder, Micah Foster.
